Ugly
Beauty and love, two of her favorite things
To wish upon a star, born in a sky that sings,
A rhyme, a rhythm truly unique, in its own way
To keep the loneliness and ugliness away.
I met her when her eyes grew dark from all the crying
‘Cause beauty is soon gone and love is slowly dying!
Those times when she felt precious, she wished she could return,
Instead of living lonely, in constant, dreadful heartburn…
She wished upon a star, under the wicked sky
Beauty to be eternal, love never say goodbye
And granted were her wishes, but they were not for free!
For there’s a heavy price she’ll pay eternally.
Beauty and love, her two favorite things.
She didn’t even know the madness that it brings
To be so young, so pretty, so precious and so sweet!
To be so loved and worshipped by all the ones you’ll meet…
Yes, too much love will kill you, the old song says it clear,
Instead of happiness, she has a constant fear:
Her beauty and her love to never fade away
She’ll cross whatever line, she’ll hurt the one who’s near
Because the heavy price demand that something died
So she, in desperation, killed all the love inside…
