Peaceful Death

I never knew death felt so peaceful.

The quiet hum of the cool breeze

Relieves the aches of heat,

And the choir of birds sing a song

So joyful and beautiful, I want to sing along.

Small, delicate flowers sway beside me,

Their sweet floral scents wavering;

Soft rose petals fall,

Like droplets of blood, so small.

I feel no pain,

Though I know death is lingering.

Small tears fall from my heavy eyes.

I think I am ready to finally die.
