Chapter One: The Festival
☀️🧡☀️🧡☀️****
The valley air was warm and comforting as the smells of spices and herbs floated through the air. Two younglings, a cat and a dog, scurried through the tall, dry grass, a basket of daisies in hand. “Do you think the Creature will like them, Justice?” The cat purred, excitement written in her young, innocent face. “Of course! Who doesn’t like daisies?” The brown and white puppy yapped, his pace quickening. The cat giggled, flicking her long, fluffy white tail, and hurried her pace too, right in line with her puppy friend.
After traveling through the field, they arrived at the small, cozy village. The scents of the exotic herbs were delicious and the two couldn’t keep themselves from drooling. A beautiful fox walked up to the two younglings, smiling softly as she scooped up the baskets from their hands. “Ah, Justice, Cherish, these are beautiful, thank you.” The fox yipped, her tail swaying gently. “Your welcome, Passion!” The two giggled, their tails wagging.
Passion nodded and walked off to set up the flowers, leaving Justice and Cherish to just admire the village. Every cottage had golden decor, and their were several stands with food and flowers. The church, of course, was the most beautiful, since it was the one were the Creature would be resting once it came. The ‘Creature’ was a type of angel, set from the Creator, coming down to bless the town. Justice and Cherish had seen the Creature before, and it was beautiful. It’s wings were made of sunbeams, and it’s eyes sparkled like diamonds. It’s ears were pointy almost like a cat, which Cherish really enjoyed.
“Animals of all ages! It is almost time for the Creature’s arrival, please gather to the center of the town.” A voice boomed across the valley, and animals began to flood to the center. Cherish held on tightly to Justice’s paw as they made their way through the crowd, their tails wagging in excitement.
They huge clock in the middle of town was just seconds away from clicking ‘12’ and the town braced itself, the excitement clear. Suddenly, the heavens began to roar, and Justice beamed at Cherish. The ground began to shake, and they waited for the Creature to come flying down.
Silence. Cherish turned to Justice, a worried look on her face. The Creature wasn’t coming…

✍️Writer’s Note✍️
Okay, so I know this was super random, but I’ve had this idea for a while now. I actually came up with ti at Disney when my dad was like ‘it feels like the face of the sun’ and my weird lil brain just created a story using the sun because why not. I never knew how to put it into words, but now, I do! 😊
Anyways, a lil thing about Cherish and Justice: They are both 11-12 ish. Cherish is a Turkish Angora cat and Justice is a Collie. They are not siblings, just really good friends. They are both 🩷wholesome beans🩷
Also, most of the main characters will have random lil names like: Trust, Faith, Love, etc.
Love y’all! And chapter two of both this and my ROTTMNT fanfic should be posted tomorrow or the next :3.
Home Of The Dreamless
‘Do not dream my child…dreams are a luxury for our kind. We have spent all of our money, on gambling our lives with Lady Luck. We can’t afford to extend our debt…’
The young cub tiredly listened, as he gazed up at his father.
Nobody loves them. Nobody liked them. Nobody needed them. They were the vermin of society.
Simply because they had fur, instead of smooth skin, they were indiscriminately hunted down.
Killed and killed and killed, until the world was bathing in the wolves’ blood.
‘Father, does every one hate us…?’ The young cub sadly whispered.
‘Not everyone. The ones who love us, live in the sky. They smile just as bright as the sun and no matter what time of day it is, they bless us with safety.’ The father brightly said, as his eyes warmed.
They young cub was satisfied to know that someone other than his father loved him. He finally yawned in peace.
His father’s musical, storytelling voice and the soft gentle dance of the waves, left him sleeping.
Knowing that his son was finally asleep, his finally returned to their true colour. His eyes never warmed, behind them a frozen palace of sorrow could be found.
To end his story, he mumbled:
‘In exchange for our debts, they gave up their lives. Just so that the royal blood line could continue. You my child are the Last of your kind.’
As the sea continued humming a soft tune of waves, he rubbed the child’s head, as he thought about the future of the prince.
Farther
“This is my favorite spot.” Alec stood on his tiptoes and leaned out over the railing, letting the wind ruffle his fur. “You can see the whole world from here!”
“The whole kingdom, maybe.” His cousin Ariana crossed her arms on the wooden railing next to him. “There’s probably some territories out of sight. And then there’s the rest of the world, beyond what we can see.”
“The rest?” Alec trained his eyes on the horizon, where the greens and blues of the world turned to a gray line. “What do you think’s out there?”
“Lots of things. Hot places. Cold places. People who speak different languages. I saw a feathered person once.”
“Really?”
“When I was really little. She was an ambassador, or something. She came to visit Father. He said she was from a desert land, far away.”
“Whoa.” Alec’s eyes widened, trying to take in all the things he couldn’t see - all the things he hadn’t, until this very moment, imagined were out of sight. “I want to go there.”
“Me too. And I will. Someday.”
“Can I come, too?”
She shot him a sideways glance. “If you behave.”
Her tone was flat, but her tail wagged, letting him know it was a tease.
“We’ll go together,” he said, pulling himself up to sit on the railing. “Over the mountains, and out to the world. We’ll go farther than any hound has ever gone before!”
“Yes we will.”
