With a shocked gasp, Victor brought the torn parchment to the candle light. In all his years of map making, he had never thought to stumble upon something so ancient, easily predating the earliest mapmaking techniques by centuries. “What’s it old man?” The young explorer Daniel exclaimed, puzzled in the older mans actions. He leans across the table. “Find something?” “Yes, spit it out!” Harrison adjusted his spectacles, straightening the parchment before him. “I can’t make a lick of sense of this.. senseless gibberish!” “It’s a map!” Victor snatches the second parchment from his colleague, bringing them together, aligning the jagged edges against each other “it’s a map of the stars! See here Sirius B, and here, ah yes...” Harrison leans forward with a furrowed brow. “You’re joking!”
