Down the stream

Paddling through the raggedy waves, Zhou wasn't new to this lifestyle. The difference now he is being chased by the marines. The kayak boat was no match for the twin turbo engines. His nervousness was contagious, spreading into the paddles almost capsizing the old piece of wood. Scared as he was adrenaline fuelled his arms to paddle the boat. "Stop or we will shoot" shouted the marines on the megaphone. Zhou continued without hesitation. The marines did what was necessary; apprehended Zhou. His body laying down looking lifelessly as he was only tranquilized.

As he tries to open his eyes, he went into another dimension; dreaming of how he got into this position. Zhou has seven children. They all need money and food to go to school, desperate as how he wanted to see his family thrive. He agreed to do anything to put a smile on his kids face. Approaching the darkest alley in Seoul, he met a guy hovering in his shadow, tall as a giraffe. This guy Xong gave Zhou a job to make millions but only if it was completed. Stacks of substances packaged as flour was given to Zhou to deliver it across the South Korean border.

Puzzled with the impossibility of this mission, Zhou continuously wonder if he should take the risk. Eventually he took it. The noise of the crickets in the night was loud as Zhou set out his boat to paddle to glory. The boat almost stumbling over because of the weight of the drugs he proceeded with caution. As he illegally tries to enter the border, his highlighter jacket trigged the marines sensors. The guards rushed to start their boats to find this predator.

Obviously scared Zhou dashed the packages into river. Tried to flee the boat but couldn't swim so he ended up stranded and had no other option but to get caught. "Stop the boat right now" shouted the guards. As Zhou ignored, the guards used real bullets and shot Zhou in the foot.
