Delaney

I pull my Lexus into the driveway.

It’s a rainy night and I’m so glad to be home. I am working 12 hours for “Dellisa’s Cafe.” I need the extra money but I work from Noon to midnight. So tonight I just need sleep

I exit my car door and trudge to my front door. I try and open the door but it is already open. My daughter out with friends and shouldn’t be home yet. “Sandy?” I call into the house. No one answers. And then I remember. “Delaney” I whisper to myself. She was my best friend.Until I she turned insane. Oh I was the one who turned her into the police. And now she hates me.

I run into the street and see her. Her blonde hair streaked with blood,Her blue eyes hiding pain and sorrow in a glare, and worst of all her clothes, the clothes she wore when I last saw her. I take a quick look at her and my eyes land on her hair. “Oh Delaney,Please Please tell me you didn’t do that. She is all I have.” I softly whisper these words but then anger takes over my body and I screech,”SHE IS ALL I HAVE DELANEY!”

She smiles at me and I run over to her. I grab her shirt by the collar until our noses are barley touching and then I whisper”Oh Delaney. Please stop this nightmare.” She then stares right into my eyes and I see her mouth the words “Sorry not sorry. Already happened”

I then fall to my knees and cry. “SANDY?” I scream,And Delaney then points over to the side of the street. There lies my Sandy. My one love. My only child. I hug her body then turn to Delaney.

“Delaney Brown. You will pay.”
