Cure (Part 2)
(unfinished)
“Jonas!” Joseph urgently whispered. “Just dig the flower up and get back here! I thought I saw–”
At that moment, Jonas was knocked out by the shadowy figure that had been seen before.
“Trying to steal flowers, eh?” The man began dragging Jonas’ unconscious body towards the huge house that loomed in the background. “I was just gonna destroy them anyway, but the point is, ya shouldn’t steal…” The man continued talking to the unconscious boy. Joseph had had just enough time to hide before he had been seen.
Having made it safely back to the time machine, Joseph struggled to think of a plan. Jonas was usually the one who worked out the details of the missions they went on.
After a time, Joseph crept out of the machine. He had decided just to wing it. Constantly glancing around to ensure that no one was there, he moved through the sprawling garden, making his way towards the mansion. A couple times he was almost seen by a servant, but somehow, he managed to reach his destination.
Sitting in some bushes, staring at the door, he thought about what to do next. Perhaps he would wait until a servant went inside and follow them in or knock them out or something. But what if the cameras saw him? This place had to have cameras, right? It was 2082; the security was most likely very advanced, especially at a place like this one.
