“Magic comes with a price, are you willing to pay?” The man in cloak asked. Sydney took a deep breath and said, “Anything!” Her mother had died in a car crash 2 years ago, she would do anything to let her be alive again. She only had her mother since her dad had left them when she was just born.

The man grinned and said, “Okay.” And laughed as he disappeared into thin air. Sydney looked in disbelief, had she been imagining?! She shook her head and walked her way towards home.

At home, she touched a dead plant and it quickly became alive again. She was shocked, she didn’t know that it was all real, she had gotten the magic of being able to revive anything! She excitedly went to the backyard where her mother’s grave was at and tried to use her magic.

It worked! Her mother had rose from the dead, but to Sydney’s surprise, her mother had only her bones left and some rotten skin hanging from her bones. But Sydney didn’t mind at all, she cared more about her mother being alive. “Mother!” She cried. Her mother looked up and growled. She pounced on Sydney and started chewing on her. Sydney didn’t even get to react as her mother ate her whole.
