Ally and Joe grew up in the same group home together. Unfortunately, they never were adopted after their parents died. All they had were each other: Brother and sister in arms, inseparable and devoted to each other.

When the twins graduated from high school, they were finally able to get out on their own. Ally became a waitress and Joe went into construction. They shared a two bedroom apartment.

They were able to save for a house in the next couple of years. The apartment had outlived its usefulness. They headed out the door, determined to never look back.
