Dollars

I will never forget the day I went to that little coffee shop on 3rd Avenue. I took an unusual turn on my way home from work and found myself hungry. I had a very long day and it was so tempting. I decided to go on inside. I sat my naively sat my purse down on a table and walked up to the front desk. I ordered my food and drink and when I went to pay I had noticed my wallet was still in my purse. I walked over only to find my card had been stolen or lost somewhere. After my crappy day all I could do was laugh. I said “All I have is $5.” The older lady looking not so impressed looked at me like a thief. Then out of no where a tall, dark, handsome man walks up and pays for my drink. I never thought to much about it. I politely said thank you, and asked if there’s anything I could do in return. He simply asked for my company on a walk. We walked and talked till the sun set. Never in a million years did I think he was my soulmate. Six years later and here we are a sunset, picnic, and the most amazing love for one another. It all started with $5.
