Fellow Silhouette

A wide, open light surrounding me,

A beam you might call a trail,

A flicker of familiarity crawling behind,

What seems to be the darkness on this contrasting road of will.

Where it goes, it will always belong,

For all it can be and all it can do is fulfill,

A place where it has always been, a shadow,

A form in this reflecting glow,

A formless silhouette to others,

Strolling alongside on this trail of life.

Beaming with hope, though not made of light,

It has always reached the horizon above,

Keeping you company on the vessel,

That it forms to forever be you.
