Create a scene that shows the readers how a character embodies both of the following words: sharp and tender.

The Deer

Hot tears fell from her cheeks and her fingers turned white as they gripped the seam of her jeans. She had given him everything she had in her soul, and this was all he can give back?

She had planned out what she was going to say- she rehearsed it and refined it to make sure it was oozing with love, but his eyes still grew wild with frustration when she confronted him. He still breathed his hot breath in her face and said the words he knew would pierce right through her ribs. Her heart ached for the love she has fought so long to mend, but her fingers wanted to claw that heart right out of her chest and tell it to sober up.

She felt as if she was a deer in the woods, running frantically from the hunter who had landed arrow after arrow into her flesh, yet she kept getting up, forgiving him, and sometimes letting him stash his arrows back into his quiver.

But she was done.

She had enough, and it grew red hot in her veins. It boiled and it gnawed at her soul.

But something quiet in the depths of her core weeped at the thought of being the one to launch the arrow.
