The individual

Alone, scared, scattered

By ourselves, we don’t achieve much

Except if defeat was all that mattered

Perhaps something great is to come

To those who have and try

And maybe they’re the small part

Who don’t leave with a sigh

Perhaps those people learned,

Thought themselves from their mistakes

And realized that together

Lower are the stakes

Perhaps as a group

Ideas are more valuable

And perhaps an individual

Becomes able

For the human mind is nothing

If not resourceful

And humanity’s impact

Nothing, if not powerful
