A daunting task lays before me

All I want to do is flee

My confidence begins to unravel

And I cringe at how far I must travel

The task at hand mocks my hesitation

And I turn the other direction

I consider darting

But the journey is just starting

If I don't reach my destination

Than at least I was brave enough to take

action

The people ahead of me make me jealous

the pathway must be endless

But is doesn't bother

Because the end will bring honor
