Spare Key. (smth based off roleplay)

Grace Asop approached the house of the girl she co-worked with, Rocio Yani. Who stood beside her was another girl, named Nene Kusanagi. It’s been hours since Grace heard anything from Rocio. It’s almost been a full day. Yesterday after a fueled argument with the two, she stormed out, leaving Rocio to deal with whatever damage she had. But upon one of her friends saying she was nowhere to be seen, she had to investigate. And she took Nene with.

Nene went to the front door, attempting to open it. Not a surprise to the two, it was locked. “I should have a spare key. I used to come here to help her with the flash games after all.” Grace said, breaking the uncomfortable silence. “Oh- well find the key.” Nene replied, stepping back as she let her look. Grace looked around before noticing something metal. The key! Letting out a quiet sigh, she took it, inserting it into the keyhole and gently pushing the front door open.

The click of the flashlight signaled it was on, and the two quietly stepped into Rocio’s home. The house was dimmed, likely due to how dark it was getting outside. “Rocio? Hello?” Grace called out. Naturally, no response. The two could practically feel the uncomfortable silence. None of them liked it. It had the feeling something wrong happened here. Nene slowly walked, the floor creaking a few times as she did. “She’s got to be around here somewhere…” She whispered to Grace, looking around the house with the help of the bright flashlight. Grace looked around as well, before shortly stopping to look towards the stairs.

“Let’s check upstairs.” She said, her steps quiet as she traversed upward, Nene following close behind. All that greeted them was a dark hall with multiple doors. “God- who knows where she could be.” Grace said, tone of annoyance in her voice. “Just keep looking.” Nene tried to settle her down, starting to walk, quietly opening a few of the doors. Grace stepped away from her, but kept a good distance so she could still be seen. She went to where she thought she’d be. The room containing her computer.

Grace put her head to the door first, seeing if she could hear anything. She could hear the gentle hum of the computer being on, but no talking, anything. Lowering the flashlight, she slowly turned the knob and opened. She took one step before shining her light, and a horror was in her vision.

As the light panned to the desk, there was something.

Blood.

Dry blood.

Some had been splattered on the desk. Grace couldn’t help but feel her eyes widen. She slowly panned the light down to the floor of the room.

…It couldn’t be.

Rocio?
