Something Only I Know

Dear Diary,

Today was just a normal day for me and my mom. We live in this secluded house with a pretty garden, away from the hustling and bustling of the city. Just the two of us.

I quietly went to her while she was happily looking at our pretty garden over the window in her room. Smiling from ear to ear, I handed her a glass of water and the pill she takes every day.

My mother remembered how we would happily pick flowers every morning and put them on our old vase. She remembered all the happy memories deeply etched in her heart.

Tomorrow at 8 a.m. as usual, she would take her pill again and together we would reminisce and remember all our happy memories. Only the happy memories.

The memories of withered flowers, broken vases, bruised bodies and painful past all dissipated completely.

The pill only I know.

Still fighting,

Me
