The Right Light

As the bright light of hope burns red

It sinks lower and lower taking away light

The shadows dance abandoning bed

I sit back and watch the darkness flight

The cold moon glow of a day gone

It’s judgementsal eyes looking down

A look of sincerity and regret like none

I look at it and feel its pound

I miss the warm glow of hopes face.

The fleeting sins of moonlight’s sake

Send a chill at a ghastly pace.

I look forward to the end of the fake.

My mind wanders in thoughts of warmth

The moon hearkens with a cold blunt breath

It’s shadows whispering about inevitable death

And I sit my head hung low, in search of a warm glow

I struggle to sleep because I’m reminded of regret

My mind is not blank with bliss, but dull with pain

The moon looks down unwavering its intent

I feel so low but the sun doesn’t show.

The moon is blunt and very cold

A strong intent that lays frozen in snow

A hateful thing most people say

But the moon still glows ever steadily so

I open my arms and except my fate

I’m human and not all things are done great

I’ve done bad but my soul remains by a single thread in a barren plain;

Most people fret while I withstand gods plan

Pain is a thing people flee from

They flee to hope and light

A place where false warmth runs

Comfortable and boring be the days of no pain

The nights run free and wild

A thing all people look for

Till they see the first sigh of hail

Flee they must to a warm false glow

Once again their sucked near

The sun looks down and says”come and have whatever you need forget your sin all is small”

The moon glares down and says”come my child in the frost of dawn see your mistakes and learn”
