Write a Horatian ode to a fictional character that you admire.
Horatian odes are short lyrical poems that deal with themes of love and friendship. They are written in stanzas of 2 or 4 lines, with a consistent metrical pattern.
Ms Death
I saw her on tv today
She took my breath away
What more can I say
She’ll never leave
She’ll always stay
She has a terrifying touch
A killer, she takes too much
Holding everyone in her clutch
Fascinating and scary…she is the judge
