The End Of The Wave.

His heart pounded against his chest as his arms felt weak. The water was cloudy. There could be anything lurking in the depths of the unknown. He knew this wasn’t the problem so he kept his focus on what was more important. He glanced behind him, what he saw behind him was truly shocking. Three men in a boat chased after him. Their eyes clearly expressed their dismay and hate for him.

“You have no chance boy!” A big burly man shouted with a scowl. Though he didn’t know what he believed all he could do now is pray for a miracle. “Lord, if this is your will I won’t argue. But it’s not exactly what I pictured. Or what I’d hope for.” Sweat poured down his face as he uttered the words. Pain surged through his arms all the way to his shoulders. We water rocked the boat from side to side as he hopelessly paddled down the uneasy waters. He turned once again and saw the men had gained a lot of ground on him.

“Come in William.” He could barely speak from exhaustion and fear. He mustered up the last bit of energy he had and paddled as hard as possible.

But unfortunately, his efforts were futile. The boat tipped over unable to handle the ruff waves. The current dragged him away. He felt his whole life flash before his eyes as he could barely stay afloat.

They drug him from the water throwing him onto the ground. He coughed for what seemed like an eternity before he caught his breath. “You thought you could escape? I mean honestly.” A more tone clean shaven man said. “I guess I went on hope.” He replied breathing heavily.

“Your a fool.” The burly man said.

The third man who had uttered not a word pulled out a handgun and held it in his face. “Why should I let you live? What can you offer me? Will you really rely on your God to save you?” He mocked.

“I will.”

“Will what?”

“Rely on my God.”

“Your a fool. If you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist.”

“Sometimes having faith without vision is more fruitful than demanding proof. Man says show me and I’ll trust you. God days trust me and I’ll show you.”

“Then go be with him.”

He pulled the trigger. And just like that, everything was dark.

He. Was. Right. He walked with Jesus. Stood face to face with the Saints from years ago. Heaven was everything he imagined, and more.
