POEM STARTER
Write a Tanka, or a series of linked Tankas, on the theme of loyalty.
A Tanka is a short form of poetry with 5 lines: 5 syllables in the first line, then 7, then 5, then 7, and 7 syllables in the final line (5,7,5,7,7).
Support Systems
Friends are important;
I can count on them for help.
When things go awry,
And I’m not feeling my best,
Their support is always there.
They are my safety,
They are my problem solvers.
With one look at them,
My heart bursts with happiness.
How did I get so lucky?
