It’s dark here
It’s silent,
So silent.
The wind blows
And leaves rustle,
But they are unseen.
It is too dark.
The stars shine,
So bright,
Radiant.
They are much the opposite;
The leaves are noticeable
In the day,
While the stars shine
At night.
You can’t always have both.
And it’s so dark,
So terrifying,
And you can’t think straight,
Can’t think at all.
It was once good,
Once shiny,
Now it is nothing,
Just blackness.
You are so unbelievably alone
When the sun falls.
You realize
How little you mean
In the big scheme of things.
You are but one
Star in the sky,
Unsee during the day,
Hardly ever seen at night.
It’s dark and scary
And nobody cares enough.
Some things must always shine,
But you are not one of those things.
It’s dark here
And sometimes cold.
There is little comfort
In the silence.
You cannot see,
Nor be seen.
