the forest falls

The witchy screams call out to me pleading for help. Every halloween they chant from the foggy forest behind the shed of my back yard. Mild winds blow strong an whistle through tree tops. With the moonlight shining brightly on my eyes, I lay awake like an insomniac. I count my steps on the way down stairs only to hear the screams eco the long halls. Grabbing my coat on the way, I head out the door eyeing them dead walking through the passing windows. My breath is visible as are my footprints. I can't help but look behind me. Nobody can see what's bound to happen to them.

As I'm making my way down the sketchy path way in the woods, the streaming turn to humming and I feel my feet lift up from the snow. They gather around raising along side me. The dead wander through the wood mindlessly. My eyes glow and my teeth chatter to the point were it hurts. Still I continue to save them from what's coming. With blue white light surrounding and protecting us, we come back to the ground. The light spreads like wildfire and the zombies are put back to rest.Another successful Halloween night.
