Monochrome Monopoly

The world is blacks and grays and whites. She has never seen a color, or a glimpse of pigment. The world is bleak and blanketed is wishes and wonders. You don’t experience the colors of the world till you meet your soul mate. And she has yet to meet hers. She goes for her morning run in a blur.


A nightmare woke her from the rare sleep she finds herself in. She cooks a meager breakfast and lets the dogs out before she puts on her shoes. She has yet to get used to the new town so she leaves a note on the counter for her room mate and follows her loyal pups.


She stars slow, jumping across stones and treading through the nearby river. She speeds up when the incline braces the land. She is going good for an hour when the dogs barking startle her to a stop. She follows the sound
