Snakes Bait
I sat down on the chair and began to cover my face.
“How could you do this!!” I beamed.
“I’m sorry, but I have to. All you do is cause problems for everyone you meet…whether you like it or not,” Deven snapped.
“How could you say such a thing!!” I screamed.
“You know it’s true, you killed your own mother. You could of stopped it but your so small minded,” Deven growled.
“I’m trying my best..I…” I cried.
“For Christ sake, you can’t run from it. Your the daughter of death, you can’t fix that!” He exclaimed.
“But like she’s not any better. I..I can’t believe your considering going with her!” I shockingly expressed.
“Yeah, well she changed,”
“After everything she had done?”
“Why can’t you be so insensitive, she’s a better person than you!!”
I paused. This man standing before me was not the man I knew before. The horrific things he said before me was heartbreaking. I stood up and walked towards him.
“I wish but nothing you will realize what you are in fact doing,” I paused. “Lesia is a snake and she’s slowly poisoning your heart and soon there will be nothing left to cherish,”
“I..”
“No, one thing you don’t know about the gift of immortality is that the knowledge that comes with it. Death had taught me so much, so much that you could never understand. So go.. go with her. You in too deep,” I cut him off.
“You should hear yourself,” He chuckled.
A young woman walked into the room.
“What’s so funny sweetheart,” Lesia grinned.
“Oh it’s nothing, I was just telling him something funny,” I growled.
“So much for getting defensive sweetheart,” She winked.
“Whatever,” I walked off. “Oh yeah, safe travels. You’ll need it,” I grinned.
