POEM STARTER
Try writing a romantic Pantoum.
A pantoum is a poem where each stanza is 4 lines, and the second and fourth line of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next.
Carnation Season
Amist the sprintide evening
You are my everything,
I said beneath a shuddered breath
And you knew it was true.
You are my everything,
Your words repeated back
and you knew it was true
but how could one know if the words were to deceive you?
Your words repeated back
That your heart was mine,
but how could one know if the words were to deceive you?
I wished I'd known the answer sooner.
That your heart was mine,
Had it always been a lie?
I wished I'd known the answer sooner
before the carnations started to blossom.
