It’s in my blood.

“Does it matter?” I ask him and he looks up at me to see my confident face.

“Who even are you?” He asks sitting back like he isn’t pissed he was just discovered by a girl.

“If I tell you, you have to promise not to tell anyone.” I tell him and he furrow his brows.

“My name’s Ares.” I tell him striking some more fear in his eyes. My name is anything but forgettable.

“As in Ares-” he starts but I don’t let him finish.

“Ares Ayesha.” I tell him and he closes his eyes and sigh, now knowing he is fucked.

“Fuck.” He whispers and I grin.

“Look I never said I’d use this.” I tell him and he opens his eyes to look at me and see my genuine face.

“You wouldn’t?” He asks me and I sigh.

“I don’t see at the moment why I would.” I tell him and he realizes what I mean.

“You want something.” He says and I nod.

“Yes, I do. I need you to get me information on a family.” I tell him and he looks skeptical.

“Specifically the Laurent family.” I tell him and he realizes who I just asked for information on.

“Your the daughter of Lewis and Kiana Ayesha, the most powerful family in all of New York. Why do you need a nobody like me to do this?” He asks and I chuckle.

“Exactly that. Your a nobody leaving me with no trail of ever asking for this.” I tell him and he nods.

“And why not ask someone else?” He asks and I grin.

“Just because i found this on you doesn’t mean I didn’t look further into you, I saw what you’ve been facing ever since this event in your life. Others may say not to trust you but a past like this is exactly why I like you. You now what to look for, and your loyal about it.” I tell him and he furrows his brows.

“The mysterious newfound daughter of The Ayesha family likes me?” He asks and I chuckle.

“Yes.” I tell him before slipping him a piece of paper with my number on it. My personal number. Not my new business number.

“Do this for me, you get paid and a job.” I tell him and his light blue eyes light up.

“Paid how much?” He asks and I grin.

“You know it’s a lot more then whatever other job you’d find.” I say picking up the bag I brought.

“And what would my job be?” He asks and my grin widens.

“My hacker. The one who tells me everything on everyone. As much as your loyal to your employers, your loyal to your city.” I say and he nods.

“Okay Ms. Enigma. You got yourself a hacker.” He says standing up with a grin.

“I’m glad it’s you.” I tell him with a genuine grin. He walks away to probably his apartment above this restaurant we met in. After he leaves I walk out back and meet my driver there.

“Is he in?” My driver, Thomas, asks me and I nod. He opens the car door for me and I grin.

“Yup.” I say giving Thomas the bag to which he puts it in the back of the car.

I get in the car before Thomas does.

When he does I smile.

“You’re getting the hang of this.” He tells me and I grin.

“I’m an Ayesha. It’s in my blood.” I say making Thomas grin.
