Confused and scared she sat upon a grave of stone. Is this death she thought, the decay of her body had started to show. She gazed into the misty night, eyes sunken and lips drawn. If this is death, she puzzled in her mind, then why am I awake and seemingly alive? A hunger began to stir deep within her frail and rotting vessel. It wasn’t a hunger she had known before, this was something new, something wild, a dark desire to feed upon what she had once called familiar. She desired to feed upon the living, to strip them of what had been stolen from her. A thirst for devouring those who still lived, to feed upon them and watch their life ebb away. Twitching and jerking she stood to her feet, away she now went to feast on fresh meat.
