Eight Nations

A short period of pain,

where I couldn't control myself.

A merciless betrayal,

A cruel injustice.

A dark plan,

Exiled away.

I've paid the price,

Yet felt so fleeting.

Like a lantern in the sky,

Goes far away.

Four gentle souls,

Not from this world.

Today, I light my path,

So that they will not lose their way.

It is not me or merely what I am,

Observe with your eye.

Maybe you might see the real me.

A ninety thousand year war,

Ravaging long ago.

Destroyed countless civilisations,

Monarchs wrath across the land.

Split the world into eight nations,

Each ruled by a ruler.

So long,

But yet so fleeting.
