One Loves, One Hates

“Fara, I-I think I’ve fallen in love with you,” London whispered, taking the gun away from her head. Her body was shaking and silent tears, inked with fear, stung her face.

“But-“ he stuttered on, “My assignment was to kill you!” She smirked... something the scene did not require.

“GOD BLIND ME!” Stan stomped onto the fake set, chucking some random papers into the air. “Can you not do this one simple scene? All you have to do is act like you care, your in love, but you’re facing some tough choices!!” He yelled at Claudia for what feels like the hundredth time today.

Now you see, Claudia was a professional actor and has been in the industry for many years already. But never in her entire career had she ever 𝐻𝐴𝑇𝐸𝐷 a fellow actor as much as she did Kayden Kacer. He was, in her 𝑆𝑇𝑅𝑂𝑁𝐺 opinion, the incarnate of the devil himself. He was perfect, handsome, a gentleman, and down right stupid, as she puts it.

Though Kayden didn’t feel quite so unyielding in how he felt about her. Why, he quite fancied her but it was no use. If she saw him for who he portrayed on television and would see him as nothing else no matter how he tried, he saw no point. “So, Claudia, why the smirk, old girl?” Kayden asked, British accent coming through strong in every word he spoke. Claudia scoffed at this question, walked off the set, and away from him. He sighed. What was he ever going to do, he thought. Huffing, Stan grumbled, “You better fix that,” he motioned to the direction his co-star stomped off to, “We are already behind schedule!” He finished, walking off in the opposite direction.

“You know why I smirked, Kayden?! Huh? Well because all I could think was please, just kill me now because I hate looking at your face!” Claudia mumbled as she barged into the green room. Her silk dress hung loose on her curvy figure and it annoyed her more the ever. Trying to adjust it promptly and still look like a proper lady, she grabbed a large pretzel from the buffet table and slumped on the couch on the far corner. She didn’t even like pretzels. No matter what effort Kayden tried to make, she would not let him get to her. She was better then that, she’s reminded herself. But then, without so much as a warning, a large figure came pummeling towards her.

Kayden leapt onto the couch his fair maiden was lounging on, like a golden retriever when it hears the keys of its owner jingle behind the door. A look of shock sprang upon her lovely face as she tried to move away from him. “Oh, Claudia, dear, would you mind give little old me some of your pretzel?” He questioned, finally settling on the couch like the good boy her was. She scolded him, “Not a chance!” Eyebrows kitted, he look at her. She really was beautiful. “Okay, well, could you at least come back to set? Just so we can finish this scene? Then you can go a far away from me as you’d like.” Kayden tried his best to smile at that last sentence, was he really that repulsive?
