The Magic Cave

Against the stone wall of the cave, a scraping talon squealed painfully like fingers to a chalkboard. Outside, at the mouth of the cave, the little girl jumped, pressing her hands on her ears from the horrid sound, her heart racing.

“I knew I shouldn’t have wandered from the campsite…”

Her curiosity always got the best of her.

A deep, rumbling growl echoed near and the girl shook, backing up slowly, staring into the dark abyss.

Suddenly, two gleaming blue eyes appeared in the shadows, inching closer, casting a blue tinted light into hers. The girl frozen, her heart thumping faster, wished she listened to the part her camp counselor spoke about staying with the group at all times.

“What on earth is THAT?” She whispered to herself, barely able to speak.

Is this the end of Moriah Gellers? Only the continuation of the story will tell…;)
