Lurking in the shadows

At a place so sunny bright

Is something so mysterious

Yet it makes me so curious

To find what is there

Hidden and rotting away

Lost and neglected

With no one to care or know

Or so at first

For I can see things well enough

Not just to see the shining glow

But also am able to see

What lurks in those shadows

What lives? What dies?

What kills? What lies?

What is in those shadows

I do not know, but I want to see what shows
