Clear as Crystal
When you die, Religion says,
You either go the Heav’n or Hell.
Your worth gets measured, your actions judged,
to work out where you’re meant to stay.
Your soul shows all, so it gets examined
— a dark one means evil,
a light one means true —
and then judged by thy God,
you are placed in either
the Heavens above or in Hell below.
The judgement is quick,
and a little dark is fine,
Repentance is important,
and lightens your load.
This time, though, something interrupted
the Godly work done day and night;
A soul, clear as crystal,
had turned up on God’s steps
The impossibility interrupting the flow.
A soul, clear as this one, had never been seen,
at least not from a human that was over age three.
This one was sixteen, yet no speck could be found.
They had always been kind and had had love abound.
At least the Soul read as such when examined up close,
an investigation was started but soon come to a end.
The mystery was solved
when God found the catch,
the soul had been lost
by an angel up top.
No human is that perfect
but that’s perfectly fine.
God sent us to Earth to learn and to fail.
Making mistakes is a most human thing to do,
So if you are not perfect, there’s a chance still for you.
And as long as you try to be good and true,
there’s no way in hell you’re getting send down below.
