I wish I had never let go I have that only regret And that is that we never dreamed of going pro When we were there I would sweat You hanging off And me hanging onto you I can’t brush-it-off And I only wish you knew When you fell I couldn’t save you I think that anyone could tell That you had cut through The cliffs The fall The ifs The bad calls I only wish you didn’t leave For you were my best friend now I grieve And wish this wasn’t the end Yes it’s true, I wish I never had let go So that we may still be two I will now always be in my low.

This is a very beautiful poem, good job! Remember for future writings, not all poetry has to rhyme. Rhyming is just one tool a poet can use to make text, and, from what I have found, it can be very limiting when writing creatively (This is both good and bad). Consider using rhythm, syllables, thoughtful consonants/vowels, literary devices (like simile, metaphor, ect.), and even internal rhymes. Good luck in your future writings!
