The Bystanders

The Bystanders is about three months in the life of a 37-year-old man who only wears tuxedos, neck ties, black pants, cowboy boots, and glasses that make you half an inch smaller. Also, it makes your penis 2 inches bigger and longer, which means it is completely pointless and worthless. The novel tells the story of TonyRoy Albertus and his struggles with what is wrong or wronger in a society which he thinks that he is a bystander. According to TonyRoy, there are two types of people in the boiling ball of fire that wears colossal underwear composed of stainless steel in which he surrounds himself in: Grease Flying Monkeys and socks. Literally, just tons of regular socks. A sock( short for…..socks, I guess) can have as much power as a god, can get away with anything it wants to get away with, and has such an ego it would make Sigmeud Freund want to write a 100-page essay about it. A grease flying monkey, however, always lives on the outside……because they fly basically all the time, and they always need to watch their back…….because they……..just because. TonyRoy is not a grease flying monkey but is a fan of them, who is willing to see grease flying monkeys rumble against a gang of socks for the sake of just whatever—until one terrible night when his friend Donny licks a doc. The licking incident gets under TonyRoy’s skin, causing his caotic world to stay exactly the same and teaching him that pain feels the same whether you are a flying grease monkey or a normal sock except if you are a sock god. That cannot feel any pain.
