Red Blossoming Everywhere

I remembered using my blade to cut things out of my path

Or getting bloodied over fights with vicious plants and their wrath

Or swinging from vine to vine

Looking at everything, it was all so divine

I even remembered this place I got to be in

That was more nicer, like it was free from sin

There was luscious greenery everywhere

So much, it was frankly hard to bare

I then looked down and what I saw

Was a red path before me, had me drop my jaw

I walked on this path, red growing flowers galore

So many growing rapidly, just more and more

There was so much red and green to see

With birds always flying ever so free

I looked up, so entranced with everything

I did not see this in front of me, this thing

This thing floating, wearing a red cloak made up of roses, so lovely

It just was there, staring at me

I got closer, wanting to touch it

But as I got closer, it vanished, every bit of it

It faded away with the flowing wind

Watching each of its petals go away made me chagrined

I chose to continue walking on the red path, trying to move on from that

The plants still grew, some were thin, some fat

I look back on that day fondly

Even if I never got to see

That thing with its cloak again, not at all

Never in spring, summer, winter, or the fall
