WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a 4-stanza poem, using the word ‘stretch’ in each stanza.
Perhaps you could use the repetition to shift the meaning of the word each time it is used, or to emphasise a theme.
Shall We Stretch
They say reach for the sky but I say stretch instead
They said use more words but I choose to stretch my sentences
They told me to touch my toes but I want a better stretch than that
They say sprint to the finish line but I want to stretch out my life and live it to the fullest.
