slow.

if time were an animal, it’d be a slug.

it’s weird to have a thought like that, but it’s something that’s come to my mind before.

it’s especially bad when nothing big happens, or when there’s no big end goal.

often i’ll find myself rotting away, wasting my day, until it’s already six pm.

what a waste.

wherever there is light, though, flowers will find it.

what i mean can be anything you interpret. to me, it means that even though i’m in the dark, a bad, sad place, (even if it’s something i’ve created) i still have the option to seek the light.

not fast. not through the big things. slow. small.

so i’ll get up, wash my face, and make some cookies.

and when i eat those, they’ll be the most delicious in the world, because sure, it’s something small.

but it’s mine.

soup’s favorite cookie recipe

ingredients:

-1/2 cup salted butter

-3/4 cup granulated sugar

-1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

-1/2 cup milk

-1 tsp vanilla extract

-2/3 cup creamy peanut butter

-3 cups quick oats (not old fashioned oats)

1. line some baking sheets with parchment paper or lay out some cupcake liners

2. in a medium saucepan (basically a frying pan but with higher walls) combine butter, sugar, cocoa and milk

3. set over medium heat, and stir frequently until it reaches a full boil

4. let the mixture boil for 60 seconds without stirring it

5. remove from heat, immediately add in vanilla, peanut butter and quick oats

6. stir the mixture until combined, then use a cookie scoop or two spoons to put the mixture on the baking sheets or cupcake liners

7. now you can either let the cookies sit out, or to speed up the process stick them in the fridge! (i’m super impatient so i put them in the freezer)

8. once they’re set, enjoy
