POEM STARTER
Compose a poem that starts with an idiom.
Idioms are common, sometimes metaphorical sayings such as ‘it’s raining cats and dogs’, and ‘love at first sight’. Which idiom will you use to set the theme for your poem?
The Time Flowers Bloom
She feels like spring morning,
Her voice is like the birds that rise before the sun
Always happy and eager to start the day
Her skin has a gentle feel such as the speckles of mist touching your skin
The heart that beats within her chest remind me of daffodil petals, needing care and gentleness
She is a bed of flowers I wish to lay upon, soaking in the energy she radiates
