A Blessing In Disguise

In this twisted world where people sway,

Masks are worn to hide intentions.

The games they play are never mentioned,

Behind fake smiles is where they stay.

You think they’re loyal, far from fake,

Yet behind their facade, deception lies.

Their feigned concern, a clever disguise,

Leaving only shattered trust in their wake.

It’s fucked up,

Because I really did try,

I strive to be a loyal friend.

Maybe it’s tough luck,

But I won’t cry.

Because it’s a blessing in disguise in the end.
