Have you ever heard of the lost city of Atlantis? I have. Well, kind of. It’s more of a lost legend, just like the city itself i suppose, than a fireside tale. But the pieces i’ve heard…my god. I would’ve died a million times to be able to just see the kingdom. A towering seashell castle surrounded by thousands of homes and people. An enormous piece of sea stone, supported by a mix of coral pillars and magic. There are different things i’ve been told about the people there. A gorgeous royal family of sirens, an inherently peaceful place, the castle housed the people, no monarch, multiple monarchs…so many stories. Maybe one day my people will find a lost record of this magical place. Or maybe one day we’ll discover it never existed at all. But i don’t care. I’ll always wonder about the city of the sea, lost forever. I’ll already hope someone will find it.
