WRITING OBSTACLE
Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.
In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.
The Curious Incident
“If you look here at the this image,” Dr. Todd explaines, pointing to the MRI image on the table, “you can see the clot - which is quite large in size - in the right hemisphere of the brain.” I lean over my classmates to get a better look of the scan, noting the size, shape, and location of the clot in my notes.
A girl to my left, her lab coat stratching about her waist, raises her hand. “Could you say that blood clots are just solidification of the blood?”
“Well, in a way, yes, blood clots are formed of blood that has paritially solidified,” Dr Todd responds, clenching his first in an attempt to demonstrate the hardness of the blood.
Clearing his throut, Dr. Todd pulled out photographed pictures of the paitients head and face, revealing a swollen and brusied face, specifically on his right side. “Now, our guy, unfortunatly, has suffered extreme blunt force truama to the head, which is the cause of this massive clot.”
A boy in the back shoots up his hand, eyes wild with curiousity, “What specificaly caused these injuries, and more important, _why_?”
Dr. Todd rolls his eyes, dealing with Nolan’s question with every patient he presents. “Well it turns out that this man’s neighbor is a lunatic, and incapacited him for allowing his dog to take a shit on the edge of his lawn.”
