You let out a small laugh, looking down at your hands. You smiled slightly as your mind searched through the memories.

“She was amazing. She was the best person anyone could ever ask for” You sighed, Your eyes watering slightly.

“I’m sorry about what happened to her..” Your closest guy friend spoke up, rubbing your shoulder slightly.

“Yeah..” You scoffed, sniffling. “Me too..”. The two of you sat there in silence, not knowing what to say, or what you wanted to say.

Your face distorted itself as tears slipped from your eyes and dropped down your face and neck, reaching your clothes. You choked down the sob that was just begging to be heard.

“Why her..” You barely got those two words out. “Why her! Why not me? W-why—“ Your friend sat beside you, His hands folded neatly in his lap, as he looked at you.

“She d-didn’t—She didn’t d-do anything..” You let out that sob from earlier, Catching his attention.

“Hey..Don’t do that..” You froze, Looking up at him. You didn’t say anything.

“I don’t like this— I’ve never seen you like this..” You still stayed quiet, Tears streaming down your face.

“This— It isn’t you. You’re strong—You’re tough—You don’t cry over girls—“ You cut him off by slamming him into one of the lockers in the locker room. “What the hell man—“

“She’s not just a girl. She’s an amazing person—better than you’ll—ever—be. And I love her—“

“She’s dead—“

Your grip tightened on his clothes and you pulled him off the locker then pushed him up against it again.

“Don’t you think I know that?!— I miss her more than you’ll ever know. We planned our future. She meant more to me than anyone on this planet even could—...And I didn’t even get to say goodbye—“

“L-look I’m—“

“Shut the hell up!—“

You screamed, causing the two of you to fall silent.

You dropped him and your hands before walking out of the room.
