The one reason you have

The heart of your life

Is slowly poisoning you

And you can’t see

It has fogged over your eyes

Clouded your vision so that you don’t understand wrong from right

Yet you cling to it blinded by its “glory”

Perception blurred you take wrong path after path

Dizzy with rage you sicken

But you think it’s the cure

And you’ll rot and rot

Until you rip it out by the roots

And slowly regaining your sight you’ll see

How wonderful the world really is

Without a black and white filter over your eyes
