POEM STARTER
Write a poem with the title ‘Clear as Crystal’.
Images of clarity and purity are often associated with religious or romantic writing. You may follow tradition, or perhaps you could invert this imagery.
Clear As Crystal
They say
“love is pure”.
Untouched.
Holy.
But pure is not always good.
Untouched is not always unharmed.
Holy is not always clean.
Crystal is clear,
but when it breaks
you still bleed.
