I see them
They're in the shadows
I seem them there
Where the wind billows
And the trees stretch long to the skies
They watch me with evil eyes
I see them everywhere
Even when they're in disguise
And they hide under my bed
They might be in my head
I see them in the color of my hair
My eyes always wonder where I'm led
So maybe I'll follow them through my fear
What, you can't see them here?
I see them in their dark lair
They drive me crazy when they're near
I really should run away
Something about them whispers to stay
I see them and wonder if they'll tear
Are they made or paper or clay
Maybe then I can chase them off
My friend snaps me back with a cough
I see them and they see our pair
Here at this safe little trough
They can't get me when she's around
My guardian angel should be crowned
I see them flicker in the air
Then they vanish without a sound
And I know, they're homebound
