Sunrise Behind the Daisies
The sun peeks behind the horizen line
The daisies wave and say the morning is fine
The sun rises high above, playing in the birds race
The daisies stand and watch from their place
Swoops and dives and chirps all along
The sun stays steady on the path it is on
Twists and twirls and laughs through the field
The daisies play with the children who yield
Like two canvases side by side
Two different paintings united by pride
The sun waves down at the daisies below
And gives the Earth one final show
The daisies wait for the next sunlight
And the owls come out to whisper goodnight
The moon shines above, taking its place
Rising above with a smooth pace
A steady watch over all meadow fun
The moon soothes and relaxes a ton
Soon the sun will rise and play its game
But the moon keeps the Earth quiet and tame
