Memory Of Cobalt Blue

I couldn’t imagine it was possible for frozen water to fall from the sky. The piercing cobalt blue horizon l had known as a child, with only the sound of the waves echoing from the atmosphere above me. Brilliant sun rays streaking through it, so vivid, so strong, almost changing the cobalt blue of the water and sky to a deep warm hue of green.

But this!? How can it be!? The air so crisp I can see this fog like shape drift from my open mouth? Entertaining actually, reminds me of the smoke my pals would blow out after taking the first drag of their cigarettes. The temperature, like nothing I’ve ever felt before, stunning to say the least. So cold that not even my grandmothers cold storage box would compare to it. Surely our preserves would not last and our fruits would be spoiled to mush and rot.
