Dream
Whispy leaves wave to me as I make my way past their mother, lightly touching the dark bark.
Not one is the same, some have ivy crawling up their spines and others with hollowed insides.
I tip my nose up to the sky, tendrils of sunlight poking through the gaps of green and decorating the forest.
I can hear the soft shushing of water in the distance, the crystal blue waves catching my eyes through the maze of the forest.
Shhh.
Like a mother coaxing their baby to sleep.
Shhh.
Like a promise two best friends will always keep.
Shhh.
