Untrustworthy Bells
My head was ringing just as the bell used to. God why won’t they ring anymore I’ve tried everything, they just won’t budge. Have the gods forsaken me? Did I miss a day I don’t think so. If I don’t ring it. The whole town will, no I mustn’t think of that I need to figure out a way.
A way a way away, away. I need to go away forever. No! What’s gotten into you. Shimmer down he’s not lost yet. The voices in my head chirp. I must do it for the town. I approach the beautiful bell it’s beauty will take me. Stop stop it it’s enough go away. Shut up shut up. I wish these voice would stop. Maybe if I bang my head a little. Bash bash. Oh he’s lost it. Boom goes the bomb. The voices get louder and louder they are unwary of my choices I’ve made the right choice. Bash crack. The blood starts pouring. Just like an egg. Calm him down. Quit it! They won’t stop talking. Bash bash smash. It hurts it’s hurts. Quit it. Well all die. STOP IT. They get louder, it’s too much.
Rinnnnnngggg. The bell chimes cheerfully at me. I’m unable to keep my stability. The cold snow, it gets in my wound, hurts. Get back inside idiot. You’ll die. Go away. The voices mock me. I crawl my way inside, barely making it to the door my eyes close. My body goes numb and cold. Deceased, gone. The voices are silent and still finally. All is well. The town sleeps tonight. Not a soul will ever wake up.
