POEM STARTER

Write a poem about a minor inconvenience.

This may help you articulate nuanced emotions that are not outright exaggerated and over the top.

Grin & Bear It

In Distressed Silence,

I’ve Had To Wait A While -

Forced To Grin & Bear It,

I’m Afraid To Smile -

Face Contorting,

Agonizing Through The Discomfort -

Taste Misfortune, It’s Exhausting,

How Much I’ve Made My Tongue Work -

But Still To No Avail,

Just Wanna Explode & Wail -

Note To Self -

Ed, Remember To Grow Your Nails -

So The Next Time,

I’m Chomping At The Bit For Relief -

I Won’t Need A Used Floss Pick

To Get This S*** Out My Teeth.
